ZERO - The Forgotten Number
Written by: An Enchanted Spirit ~ Nancy

In most of numerology the number zero is not used. Obviously there is no need to calculated a zero since it has no numerical value, which explains how and why it often gets ignored. However, that doesn't mean it has no place in your numerological works.

NOTE: This information is not found in most Pythagorean Numerology. Yet there are references stating that Pythagoras saw zero as perfect. Zero is the originator and container of All. Over time, a few more dedicated Numerologists have come to see that a zero is a key component in getting to the true nature of any calculation where they are part of the core numbers.

Zero is a very powerful number which hints at the possibility of, and need for, great transformational change, sometimes occurring in a profound manner. It is an extremely strong and profound number, this is why it should not be ignored when it shows in the core numbers of any calculation. Caution is also needed wherever it appears. This is due to the extremeness of it's nature.

Zero leaves an empty place. A place where both nothing and everything meet. It shows that the person with this strong number in their lives will have a lot to both learn and a lot to teach. A lot to give and a lot to take. It talks of extremes, both highs and lows, negatives and positives, beginnings and endings.

Being before all others, and often considered as not existing, puts zero in the realm of the unlimited and the eternal.

In any given date there can be a zero. Granted there isn't one in all dates, but in some they are quite prominent. Dates where a zero would be in the beginning, say January 9th (01-09) would not really have a zero effect, as the number is not in a placement where the date cannot exist without it. However, if you were go use October 20th (10-20), then the two zeros here are actually in a position that they are important and necessary to the full date number.

The areas where a zero is used is in dates. Oh and addresses, phone numbers, etc., but that is a whole other different area of numerology.

Also, some have recently suggested that use of things like hyphens in names should be looked at as a zero, since they are part of the name, yet have no numerological value. Others suggest that the hyphen be calculated using the word hyphen's numerological value. Then there is the third camp that thinks the hyphens in names should be ignored completely. This is a debate that will surely go on for a long time, so for now, the use of zero is left to dates and not names.

Here is an example of when a zero would be both important and unimportant in a life path calculation.

Take the birth date of July 3rd, 2006. This would have both kinds of zeros. This is the kind that can also lead to a bit of confusion.

Now make no mistake. The looking at zeros for information into a person or date doesn't change the way calculations are done. Obviously they could not since, as said previously, they have no value and cannot be added. So no matter if you choose to look at them or not, the date shown above still turns out to be a 7+3+2+6 = 18 = 1+8 = 9.

So, looking at the zeros in this date one might see it as 07-03-2006 (or 03-07-2006 in other parts of the world). Looking at it this way shows there to be 4 zeros. However, only 2 of those zeros are actually important, so to speak. This is due to the zero's before the 3 and the 7 not being necessary. One can just as easily write the date as 7-3-2006 (or 3-7-2006). Showing that those other zeros are not significant. However, the 2 zeros in the year are. As you can not make the year without them. For this year this means that there are things happening, important things, that are very important and significant, yet often do not get addressed or dealt with. The zeros show that these things will be both extreme and profound, yet will probably go unnoticed. Correction. They will be noticed, it just will not be noticed for what it truly is.

Every year, since we hit the 2000 mark, has come with zeros. Yes prior years had them, but only once every ten years. Months comes only once a year and days have them only 2 to 3 times a month (since February only has 2). Years, however, are a whole different thing.

In a day that has a zero, it is confined to things happening and building for one day. So if it is the 10th of the month, you have that zero power and energy just for that day. If it is the 10th month of the year, then you have that zero power for the entire month. Now with a zero in a year, that is a full 12 months of that intense energy.

In the recent past that zero year energy has been limited to 1 zero, in 1 year, every ten years. But that changed drastically after 2000. We went from zero years only once in a while to zero years every year, and more intense since there are more than 1 zero in each of those years. From 2000 to 2010 we had 2 to 3 zeros for whole years. This is a seriously intense energy shift from what we have been used to. It will, as of 2011 slow down a bit, having now only 1 zero per year, and then 2 every ten years, however even that is a large change from before.

This energy change can be seen in the intensity of the world around us. Or haven't you noticed? This is also creating a large change in the children those born with so many zeros in their birth dates. They will be much more intense people. Which direction that intensity goes, positive or negative, will be up to them, their parents, and society as a whole.

Now, perhaps, you will look a little more carefully at the zeros that show up in your dates when doing your calculations.

Happy Calculating!
